Cardi B followed her Grammys look with an even more head-turning performance of her new single “Money.” The segment opened with a shot of a female pianist serving all kinds of drama in a black and white ruffled gown that just so happened to echo Cardi’s own red carpet look, pounding the keys on a bedazzled piano.
If you were wondering who she was, you weren’t alone. Cardi turned in a typically incredible performance, but the fierce pianist sent Twitter and Instagram abuzz, with many wondering who she was.
Turns out the scene-stealer is Chloe Flower, a classically trained pianist who has been featured on songs with Nas and Timbaland, and scored the documentary A Ballerina’s Tale about Misty Copeland. The 33-year-old performer regularly posts covers on Instagram and looks damn good while doing it.
It looks like Flower is a huge fan of shiny, sparkly pianos. She was loaned Liberace’s glass piano, which she performed on and posted to Twitter:
Flower also has released several singles, including “A Love Story” and “Elysium,” which you can listen to right now if you aren’t done with her piano flair.
Following her scene-stealing Grammys performance, Flower thanked Cardi in a post, writing, “What an honor. Thank you @iamcardib for having me on stage with you at the Grammys and for graciously allowing me to add my style of music to yours!”
