Train crash leaves at least 30 injured in US

More than 30 people have been injured in a train crash at a station in suburban Philadelphia.

Authorities said a high-speed train pulling into the station in Upper Darby crashed into an unoccupied, parked train at about 12.15am on Tuesday.

At least 33 people have been hurt, four seriously.

A passenger told reporters at the scene that the conductor of the train was “all banged up” and that “there was blood everywhere” in the carriage.

Upper Darby Mayor Nicholas Micozzie spoke to reporters about the incident on Tuesday morning.

“The conductor is in the hospital right now. I can’t release his condition,” he said.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
