Disney has released another trailer for one of its upcoming live-action remakes. This time, it’s Lady and the Tramp. The cast for the upcoming remake of the classic film is jam-packed including stars like Tessa Thompson, Justin Theroux, Janelle Monáe, Sam Elliot, Benedict Wong, Kiersey Clemons, and Yvette Nicole Brown. The movie also features two rising canine stars including a rescue pup named Monte in the role of Tramp (voiced by Theroux).
Disney released the trailer at its D23 Expo in Anaheim on Friday, and also announced that it will be released exclusively on its new streaming service Disney+ on November 12.
The D23 expo has been full of surprises this year. During the event, the first trailer for the High School Musical remake was shown and it was also announced that Hilary Duff would be reprising her career-making role as Lizzie McGuire in a new series reboot. The show will follow a soon-to-be 30 Lizzie as she juggles love, friendships, and her job as a fashion designer apprentice in New York City.
“It feels very surreal, to be honest. I’ve been living with this information for a few months now, so it’s been very hard to even contain my excitement,” Duff told Entertainment Tonight. “She’s such a big part of me and my life, and now she’s 30, and I feel like I’m going to have to learn some of her quirky faces again. But I’m excited!”
Guess this means there’s yet another subscription service we’ll all have to steal a password for.
