Mohammad receives thank-you note from Belarusian president

Belarusian president thanks Mohammad Bin Zayed for helping release Belarusian citizen

Abu Dhabi

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received a letter of thanks and appreciation from Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, for helping release Belarusian citizen Vyacheslav M. Kachura, who was forcibly held in Libya from August 2011 by a Libyan armed group.

President Lukashenko expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Mohammad for his support in releasing the Belarusian citizen.

“This step demonstrates your goodwill and is an outstanding example of the UAE wise leadership’s adoption of humanity and justice values, which deserves our respect and appreciation. What you have done to our citizen is more than just restoring his right to freedom. Your esteemed efforts have helped reunite his family after years of separation.” Lukashenko said in the letter.

President Lukashenko stressed that Belarus will always remain a reliable partner for the UAE and highly appreciates the UAE-Belarus friendly relations and mutual trust and will seek to strengthen relations between the two countries.
