The Royal Fab Four have sent several signs this week that despite British tabloids speculating they’re feuding, all is good between them. The latest comes from royal reporter Omid Scobie, who reports for Harper’s Bazaar and Good Morning America that Prince William and Kate Middleton actually visited Meghan Markle at Frogmore Cottage on Easter Sunday after attending church with her husband Prince Harry and the royal family. (Meghan wasn’t at the service because she is due with her and Harry’s first child any day now.)
“William and Catherine visited because Meghan was unable to attend the service,” a close source told Scobie for Harper’s Bazaar. “They wanted to be supportive and see how she is doing. It was a lovely afternoon.”
The visit was Kate and William’s first to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new home and unplanned, Scobie said on GMA this morning. “After Sunday’s Easter service, William and Kate actually paid a surprise visit to Meghan at Frogmore Cottage,” he said. “It was their first time visiting the new home. But of course Meghan wasn’t at the service so it also was an opportunity for them to see how she’s doing, check up on her.”
Scobie also said that Harry and William’s relationship is fine: “Sources say that the two of them are closer than they have been in a long time,” he explained, when dispelling feud rumors. “It’s the rumors of tensions between royal family members that will continue to drive sales of newspapers and tabloids here in the UK.”
Other ways Meghan, Harry, William, and Kate have stood firm against feud rumors this week include Harry and Kate showing how close their relationship is at Anzac Day service (As Scobie said on GMA, “Harry and Kate have always had a warm and close relationship. You’d often see the two of them on engagements laughing together and joking. And so yesterday’s appearance at Westminster Abbey was a reminder of just how close that relationship [is] and how it remained throughout the years”) and Meghan and Harry leaving a sweet, public message on Kate and William’s Instagram post celebrating their youngest son Prince Louis’s birthday.
