Brazil’s Bolsonaro will send army to fight Amazon fires: governor

BRASILIA (Reuters) – The Brazilian army will be deployed to fight fires in the Amazon rainforest, the governor of the Amazon state of Roraima said on Friday.

Governor Antonio Denarium told reporters in Brasilia that President Jair Bolsonaro had signed off on sending the army to the Amazon to help combat the wildfires.
